*Child Clients - This appointment is conducted with the parent/carer, and without the child.
The intake appointment aims to gain information about your child/ you and family history, discuss what is currently happening, and plan next steps including frequency and length of sessions.
This is also an opportunity to establish and build a connection with you and to answer any questions you may have.

Therapy – Child/Adult Session: $193.99
Child: 45 minutes face-to-face / online +
15 minutes non-face-to-face time for session planning, preparation, documenting progress notes.
Adol/Adult: 50 minutes face-to-face / online +
10 minutes non-face-to-face time for session planning, preparation, documenting progress notes.
Individual sessions may take place in our clinic, your home, childcare/school or via telehealth* (phone/video)
*Telehealth sessions are subject to suitability.

This appointment is conducted with the parent/carer, and without the child.
The review appointment aims to gain information on how you feel your child is progressing and provide information on progresses in sessions. It is also an opportunity to share strategies and supports that are working in sessions.
Review appointments can be scheduled at any time as needed by the family, carer, or therapist, but must be conducted at least once every 4-5 child sessions.

Variable session length time, depending on program type.
Group programs vary in structure and length of session/number of weeks - they generally run for 1.5-2-hour sessions, for 8-week periods, and group participation is on the condition that your child is entering into a planned program to work towards achieving a specific outcome.
You are required to pay for each session within the planned program, whether your child attends the group or not.
Two weeks’ notice must be given if you wish to withdraw from the group.
Fees are as quoted in the invitation letter for the group that your child is enrolled in.
Fees are calculated using the therapist’s hourly rate, plus therapy assistant hourly rate, divided by the number of participants enrolled in the group program.
Fees include the facilitators time for session planning, group session with participants, group set up and clean up, email communication to parents after each group (if applicable), and documenting progress notes in your child's file.

Ongoing Reduced Session Fee: $150/hr
We hold a limited number of reduced-fee spots for families who do not have access to external funding and meet our criteria.
While we are unable to process MHCP claims directly, if you are able to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP, you will be eligible for our reduced rate for our services.

Play 4 Change is a new, community-funded not-for-profit organisation that KLC Counselling & Play Therapy Pty Ltd has partnered with to provide funded supports.
Their ability to offer therapy and programs depends on available grants, donations, and therapist capacity.
