As a Registered Child-Centred and Certified Humanistic Play Therapist, Counsellor, and Parenting Coach, I am deeply committed to supporting children and families on the Fraser Coast. 

My background in psychology has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the emotional, social, and developmental processes that shape childhood. This knowledge allows me to develop tailored interventions that meet the specific needs of each child and family. I believe that every child is unique, and I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where children feel safe to express themselves, explore their feelings, and build resilience through play and connection.

Having grown up in Hervey Bay, I have spent over a decade working in diverse roles such as a Play Therapist, Counsellor, Allied Health Assistant, and Psychologist Intake Officer. These varied experiences have fuelled my passion for the transformative power of play, creativity, and compassionate support in fostering healthy childhood development. My dedication to this work is driven by a deep belief in each child’s potential and the importance of nurturing environments that promote growth, healing, and connection. I am continuously inspired by the resilience of children and families and am committed to helping them navigate life’s challenges with confidence and hope.

I specialise in supporting children with emotional regulation difficulties, challenging behaviours, severe anxiety, and neurodiversity. I also work closely with parents to address parenting hurdles, strengthen attachment, and repair relationships that may have been impacted by stress or trauma. My goal is to help families build stronger bonds through connection, curiosity, and play, creating a foundation of trust and understanding. I believe that empowering parents and caregivers with practical strategies and compassionate support is essential for fostering resilience and emotional wellbeing in children. Ultimately, my mission is to create a safe, nurturing space where both children and families feel respected, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

I incorporate a variety of evidence-based approaches into my practice, including Child-Centered Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Play Therapy (CBPT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT),  Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT)/Filial Therapy and Interplay (Parent/Child) Therapy. These approaches are designed to promote emotional regulation, strengthen attachment, address behavioural challenges, and facilitate positive change. 

My dedication to ongoing professional development, including specialised training in child-centred play therapy and evidence-based counselling approaches, reflects my commitment to providing the highest standard of care. As a proud member of the Play Therapy Practitioners Association (PTPA) and the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). To ensure the highest quality service, I also maintain professional liability insurance and regularly participate in clinical supervision and professional development activities, reaffirming my commitment to excellence in practice.
