As a certified Play Therapist with Play Therapy Training Australia, with over 25 years of experience in primary school education, I’ve had the privilege of supporting and including neurodivergent children. My passion lies in helping all children feel safe, accepted, and empowered to succeed. I believe in the power of play, creativity, and self-expression, and I’ve always focused on allowing children to explore their strengths in the classroom. This dedication to free expression and creative play naturally led me to pursue Play Therapy.
I’m inspired by the opportunity to help children navigate their emotions and challenges through play. Being local to the area, I have a deep understanding of the community's needs and am eager to work with children who present a variety of complexities. My specific interests include addressing challenging behaviours, emotional regulation, neurodiversity, early intervention, and school readiness, as well as attachment issues.
I believe that open communication is vital for a successful partnership and that regular contact with caregivers enhances a child’s progress. Creating a safe, supportive environment for children and their caregivers is crucial to building strong relationships, which I value deeply.
To ensure I provide the best possible service, I am committed to ongoing professional development through workshops and training, as well as regular supervision. This dedication helps me stay informed and equipped to support your child effectively.
I look forward to working with empathy to create a safe space where your child can express themselves freely and thrive as the unique individual they are. Together, we can help them become the best versions of themselves!
