The Strength of Play (SoP) Initiative
The aim of the SoP Initiative is to ensure that all children who have experienced trauma have access to timely, developmentally appropriate mental health support, regardless of their financial circumstances.
We offer community members an opporunity to support a local family to access support by making a donation to the SoP initiative.

The aim of the SoP Initiative is to ensure that all children who have experienced trauma have access to timely, developmentally appropriate mental health support, regardless of their financial circumstances.
We offer community members an opporunity to support a local family to access support by making a donation to the SoP initiative.
By funding blocks of Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) via a SoP Package, you can support a family to:
- Break the cycle of untreated childhood trauma
- Strengthen family relationships and resilience
- Reduce long-term mental health risks
- Create ripple effects that lead to stronger, more connected communities
Each SoP Package consists of:
1 carer intake
20 play therapy sessions
3 carer/stakeholder update sessions
1 session summary report
All sessions will be with an Approved Provider (aka a Certified Play Therapist) with extensive training and experience in Child-Centered Play Therapy.
Each participating child (family) will engage in one therapy session per week over a period of 24 weeks.
Our reduced session rate is $150.00
1 x $150.00 = $150.00 (Carer Intake)
20x $150.00 = $3,000.00 (Individual Child-Centered Play Therapy Session)
3x $150.00 = $450.00 (Carer/Stakeholder update sessions)
1x $150.00 = $150.00 (Summary Report)
